Most of us would be happy with a standard pair of headphones, but then again an out-of-the-box standard issue pair might not be up to par with what discerning ears are willing to settle for. Nice to know that there are after market headphones out there which are capable of filling in the gap, and the Coloud Colors headphones are more than willing to step in and do the job. Of course, this has nothing to do with Care Bears (anyone remembers that cute little cartoon with plenty of love going around?) despite boasting series of 7 uniformly colored headphones, but rather, it is a tribute to the rainbow of sorts, but you shouldn’t expect traditional rainbow colors as it comes in red, white, black, green, blue, purple and pink. All Coloud Colors headphones will also ship with a microphone remote that will play nice with a range of smartphones including the almighty iPhone, HTC devices as well as BlackBerrys among other handsets that rely on a 3.5mm standard plug. Of course, while this is nothing near Harman Kardon levels of audio quality nor will it bring your listening experience to a totally elevated level, at least it should sound better than what you get with your handset purchase, which probably costs a couple of bucks to manufacture anyways. The Coloud Colors headphones won’t put a dent in your pocket either with a suggested retail price of $45. Also known as the C22M model, it allows you answer incoming calls thanks to the aforementioned microphone/remote function, pausing whatever music that is being played at that moment. Just like Apple’s iPhone which was designed in California but manufactured in China, so the Coloud headphones are developed in Sweden and produced in China. Hopefully there won’t be any sort of performance related issues due to the country of manufacturing, and we hope that stringent quality controls are in place to boot.

For those of you that are into sleep patterns, sleep rhythms, and even the elusive dream world, you may enjoy the Sleeptacker Elite Pro Watch. Because even though we have done this all my life, we still do not like waking up to an alarm clock. The Sleeptracker Elite is designed to combat this problem, and worn on the wrist like an ordinary digital wristwatch. All you need to do is set a phase alarm for the normal time that you awake, and then adjust the vibrating alarm window of time to have the Sleeptracker wake you. Apparently, the SleepTracker is set to wake you up in an optimal waking time. What you have to do is connect via USB connection in order to get sleep phase data on your computer. Apparently, the body has a certain cycle that knows what is the best time to wake, and the Sleeptracker can wake you in that proper window. Setting the watch involves a lot of buttons, which is very similar to many digital watches used back in the eighties. The watch has GLO backlight, water-resistant, and it has a vibrating alarm, ringing alarm, or both can be used. You can get the Sleeptracker Elite in both Him and Her models for about $179.00.

If you’re thinking of attempting to use solar power more often, here’s a bag that’ll store your gadgets and even keep them charged. It’s large enough that it’ll work great for your day to day needs, while giving the convenience of having the ability to charge your cellphone no matter where you’re at. Plus you’ll get to show off to the world that you’re taking an eco-friendly stance. The solar panels produce over 3 watts when it’s in direct sunlight. The best part is that even on a cloudy day it can still charge up a 1600mAh Li-ion battery pack. Then of course you can store up the energy and even use it at night after the sun has set. The bag itself is capable of holding a 15.4” laptop as well as many of your smaller ones. The bag is all oxhide, so it doesn’t just function super cool, it looks it, and for a bag that will charge whilst you tote, the price tag of about $250 isn’t all that high for all that it handles for you.
Well, I suppose it was about time that someone made a shoe with GPS and Bluetooth compatibility. Is anyone else as surprised as me that it wasn’t Nike? No, the Isaac Daniel Compass and Blue GPS shoes are most likely a first for the shoe industry, and I’m certain they won’t be the only company with a Blue GPS shoe after a while. Now, you may ask yourself: why would I want a shoe that is Bluetooth and GPS enabled? Well, if that shoe is linked to your phone via Bluetooth, it can use its GPS functionality to let everyone know where you are. That is, if you are willing to let your friends track you online.
I suppose you could use these shoes to track people who tend to wander out of their safe zones, like the elderly or small children (assuming their little feet would fit in these shoes). In all honesty, how many of us are really famous enough to have anyone want to track us by our longitude and latitude? I’m guessing the people who are famous enough to have anyone care about their every movement probably have their own paparazzi following them around anyway. In that case, they probably wouldn’t want their movements to be tracked. Ah, don’t you just love the society we live in?
Flash drives have become quite handy these days, and have all but replaced those floppy disks that we carted around to save and procure our date. They are extremely handy and hold much more data and thus much less bulky than their floppy disk counterparts. We never have to worry about reformatting them, getting dust in them, or if they will be compatible with whatever computer we end up using on any given day.
The one issue we may not be able to forego however is losing them. They are tiny enough to forget or leave just about anywhere, and if ‘your life’ is stored on flash drive, you know only too well just how frustrating losing or forgetting them can be. So why not go with a wearable format? There have been numerous attempts at making a wearable flash drive that the general public can use and appreciate. This new Flash Drive Band will appeal to the minimalist that doesn’t need the crystal covered flash drives. It’s just a simple black bracelet, that would work for both men and women. That is of course as long as they enjoy the overall look of the bracelet. However, it does have the usual setback that comes with most wearable USB drives, it’s lacking a bit in storage space.

Ugh. You have to know that when you start seeing gloves and hats and warmers and things being advertised that the inevitable is just around the corner. Well, since the iPhone pool of users seems to be growing exponentially on a daily basis, someone got it in their heads to give these users a hand this winter. Or at least something to cover their hands. How irritating is it to have to suffer the endless battle of removing and rewearing your gloves each time you place a text, send some email, or make a call. Yes the touch screen on the iPhone seems to be one of its biggest draws, and with that comes some cumbersome issues once the temperatures begin to dip. With the dot gloves, these issues cumbersome in nature will soon be a thing of the past. Options before this were to forego gloves all together making your hands too cold to do anything anyway, or fingerless gloves which well, pretty much ends up with the same result. With the Dot Gloves, you will be able to use your gloves, and your phones with these unique touch inspired fingertips.
You may be more than a little curious to learn what one would need a solar powered neck tie for, but hey, it’s the technological revolution and sometimes gadgets are just too cool to overlook. This may be one of them, and while clothing that offers a solar power integration isn’t exactly new to the gadget world, it’s still pretty cool. This time it’s the Solar Powered Necktie and it may be one of the cooler solar powered integrations yet. The tie has been designed by folks at Iowa State University and it uses photovoltaic textiles and tiles to retrieve solar power. The research team was initially attempting to figure out what to do with their new solar fabrics, and the tie sort of emerged as an afterthought. Fortunately, the solar powered tiles acting as the fabric for the tie actually blends with a standard tie design, so the gadget doesn’t even look all that odd, from first glance. The very best part about this tie however…
