Cydle Launches First Portable GPS with HD Radio with the Cydle T43H
CES 2010 is the launch pad for many companies where new products are concerned, and Cydle isn’t going to miss out on the party next January by offering to unveil the first portable GPS with built-in HD Radio and free HD live traffic updates in the world. The Korea-based company hopes that their portable GPS system will turn any vehicle into a haven, even if it is a bone shaker, offering the driver with various options to get to their destination accurately within the routes selected, or keeping the kids in the back seat entertained while one’s family is on a long road trip in order to avoid the dreaded repetitious question, “Are we there yet?” New technology employed includes GPS with HD Traffic Update, where one is able to receive Live Traffic updates up to 10 times faster compared to its competitors. The new T43H from Cydle will feature integrated HD Radio, where one will receive free HD Traffic. Inside the T43H will also feature both internal and external antennas, where they will refresh automatically to include the most up-to-date information concerning accidents, traffic speed and road construction areas.
All you need to do when behind the wheel is to key in the destination and receive real-time alerts as they go, but do use some common sense as well since it has been proven that not all GPS maps have been updated to reflect real world conditions. Other features of the T43H goes include a high-resolution 4.3″ screen, audio and video playback alongside support for a wide variety of multimedia file formats. You can also use this to flick through photos of your favorite memories, although we would recommend you keep your eyes on the road instead. Retailing for $299 a pop, there won’t be any hidden costs or subscription fees attached to the Cydle T43H. No idea on when the exact release date would be alongside the markets it will be rolled out in, but more than likely more light will be shed when CES 2010 rolls around.

The Humble Doormat Scale May Have You Eating Humble Pie After the Holidays
Furnishing a new home can be quite the adventure, and depending on which point of view you are coming from, it could be either a positive or negative experience. Most ladies would bemoan the fact that their men seem less than interested in how the house is filled up, from its choice of colors to fittings and furniture, while others gush on how their men take the lead in such matters. While we can talk about different styles and methods of getting a house home-ready, there is one essential accessory that you must not miss out on – the humble doormat, particularly now that the holidays are over, and it’s the last thing you WANT to look at, but the first thing you should. The front door of your home is the gateway to the outside world, and every single day there ought to be at least one person going in and out. How else are you going to remove all those dirt trapped under your shoes? The answer lies in the humble doormat, and this humble Doormat Scale does exactly as it says – it helps prevent additional dirt from making their way around your home, and even more so will give a glimpse on how much you weigh at the moment.
Perfect for you to find out just how heavy your guests are if you’re hosting a party, although this move might embarrass said guests who are wearing a dress one size too small for their weight range. Functioning like any other standard bathroom scale, this Doormat Scale will display one’s weight in kilos, so folks who aren’t too used to the metric system might want to give this a pass since there is no lbs equivalent, and the number of kilos is always much, much smaller. On the other hand, it makes for a great doormat, since it’s covered in coconut fiber which does extremely well in trapping and hiding a huge amount of dirt. As the back of the mat is made of latex, the doormat will boast anti-slip properties. It is a mechanical scale that will run perpetually forever since there is no need for any batteries, just make sure you don’t go above the 160kg mark and you’ll give new meaning to the term ‘tipping scales’.
GPS Shoes That Will Know Where You’re Goin’ Before YOU Do!
Well, I suppose it was about time that someone made a shoe with GPS and Bluetooth compatibility. Is anyone else as surprised as me that it wasn’t Nike? No, the Isaac Daniel Compass and Blue GPS shoes are most likely a first for the shoe industry, and I’m certain they won’t be the only company with a Blue GPS shoe after a while. Now, you may ask yourself: why would I want a shoe that is Bluetooth and GPS enabled? Well, if that shoe is linked to your phone via Bluetooth, it can use its GPS functionality to let everyone know where you are. That is, if you are willing to let your friends track you online.
I suppose you could use these shoes to track people who tend to wander out of their safe zones, like the elderly or small children (assuming their little feet would fit in these shoes). In all honesty, how many of us are really famous enough to have anyone want to track us by our longitude and latitude? I’m guessing the people who are famous enough to have anyone care about their every movement probably have their own paparazzi following them around anyway. In that case, they probably wouldn’t want their movements to be tracked. Ah, don’t you just love the society we live in?
A Wireless Scale – Tracked by Your iPhone

Sticking to a diet is never a simple task, you end up having to jump through a bunch of hoops just to keep yourself on track. Then on top of it, you have to keep yourself motivated enough to care. Well this Wifi Scale could be the visual motivation you need to keep eating right. Instead of just weighing yourself and scowling over the numbers, you can discover if you’ve gone up or down over time. You can even keep an eye on the ups and downs when you’re away from the scale itself. How do you do this, you ask? This very thin and chic looking scale links up with your iPhone to help you keep an eye on things.
Through your iPhone you can view a graph that shows whether you have gone up or down, which might be just enough to keep you from ordering what you shouldn’t on your lunch break. The numbers over time can be compared to references created by nutrition doctors. It sends all of this information automatically, when you step on the scale.
