Crawler Radio Records Online Material with a Click

We’ve talked a lot about Internet Radio here, and it has seemed for quite some time that Internet Radio was the next big thing when it comes to techie tunes. Portable media players for Internet Radio were the next step. And now? The kicker with Internet Radio seems to be programs that will allow you to record and save your Internet Radio into digital files that you can use and play at another time. This technology records music from hundreds of online radio stations with the click of a mouse and even schedule recordings like a VCR. It exists — and it’s free, to boot.

It’s called the Crawler Radio and MP3 Player and is a mere 603KB download that lets you listen to and record Internet radio streams, selected from preloaded stations provided or by adding your own favorite online radio stations. If you need to leave the house or office but want to record an upcoming show, pull up the scheduler and select which station to record from the drop down menu, what time to begin recording and what time to end.

Now you can listen to that recorded audio anytime, it’s like a DVR for your music selections. Because files are saved as MP3s, you can also copy over the tracks to a portable music player such as an iPod. And it is so easy to use. Preloaded stations are listed by popularity or by genre (rock, pop, classical, alternative, country, gospel, and so on). You can check it out and download from here if you want to see what the Crawler Radio and MP3 Player are all about.
