Star Wars Themed USB Hubs
Well, it’s not like George Lucas really needs the extra cash, but when you have a demographic that will latch onto any and every marketing plan for the Star Wars theme, you have to make the most of it. And, as the decades progress, so do the marketing plans of the Star Wars merchandisers. This time with the progression of technology in a gadget geared to be a USB hub that sits on your desktop. Yes, we can all use an extra USB port every now and again, and these gadgets will provide an extra 4 ports for your computer use. And yes, they will take up some real estate on your desk top, but hey, if you’re a Star Wars fan, they will be too cool for you to care about desk space.
Both R2D2 and Darth Vader models come with features unique to their character, naturally. The R2D2 version has a myriad of lights and sounds….the only thing it is missing is the ability to maneuver around your desk and fix your PC when it breaks down, as only the real R2 could. Darth Vader will cast a sinister glow to your desk top with glowing red eyes, just like the film. And, if you get tired of the sounds, bells, and whistles, or are freaked out by the red eye thing, you can switch those off. But hey, if you’re a true fan, they won’t bother you at all. These are coming out of Japan next month, so keep an eye out and they will be accompanied by an approximate $66 USD price tag.
