Ferrari Branded Tech Gadget Gear
Here’s a few Ferrari branded gadgets we bet you didn’t know about. We’ll start with the latest ferrari branded gadget announced by Acer at CeBIT this week. A Ferrari branded GPS PDA. OK ok you caught them. It’s just an Acer c500 series PDA (below) with ared paint job. But it’s still cool! Not higher price point cool, but still cool. Device comes loaded with Windows Mobile 2003 SE, 128 MB storage, Bluetooth, WiFi, and SD/CF slots. Just like the others.
Acer is reported to not be releasing any info regarding release schedule or pricing on the PDA yet. Of course this isn’t the first Acer Ferrari branded product to hit the market. In 2004 Acer released the Acer 3000 Ferrari notebook and it came in a variety of cool colors.
Not to be out done, in 2005 Sharp introduced it’s own Ferrari branded Scuderia red V302SH phone. Sadly, even the shiny red paint job with the little horsey on the front couldn’t boost Sharp’s already sagging sales as the phone lacked a lot of features already present in most phones at the time. A low quality VGA resolution camera didn’t help much either. Still all in all a pretty stylish little device and fairly ahead of it’s time being the first portable comm device branded by Ferrari.
Taking it even further back, to 2003, Olympus was an early adopter of Ferrari paint with it’s 3.2 megapixel Ferrari model 2004 camera. It had a nice little docking station to show off your Ferrari camera on any flat surface in the room. The big bummer for me though was the box it came in. Have a look at the box image below and tell me you wouldn’t get REALLY excited about what could be in it only to open it and find a 3.2 megapixel camera!
