The Big Unit, Iomega’s 1 Terabyte Hard Drive

iomega

Yeah we have come to this. Programs, files, games, music files, photos video from cell phones, pdas, dv-camcorders and cameras, OH MY! We have so many mediums and information floating around in our lives these days is amazing. I mean now we can even buy disposable digital cameras and camcorders. You can even go to WAWA without interfacing with technology.

If your like me your working with several different types of media, DVD, CD, Portable Hard Drive, USB Drive, Data Tape and the list goes on. The days of a 100 GB Hard Drive being sufficient for the average even LOW END user are gone, you can expect the minimum necessary storage capacity to grow exponentially in the next five year and to possibly double after that.

Iomega, not resting on it laurels has spread out beyond just tape and cartage drives into CD/DVD burners, USB Drives, Hard Drives and Serves. They being the forward thinkers that they are know to be have made a line of

powerful, high-performance storage modules (High End Hard Drive, but not quite a server) called the XL Series. The largest of these Drives is One Terabyte in size… That is One Thousand Gigabytes! More than enough to keep all of your CRAP for years or at least until the next technological breakthrough makes it obsolete (maybe next week at this rate!). Read more at Iomega’s Site.
